Beer

Beer was made for the Four Oceans Press Food Alphabet Exchange. I joined several of their exchanges. Look around on their website to see more of my prints there as well as a bunch of really cool prints from artists from around the world.

I thought I had a scan of this drawing on the linoleum before I cut it but I can't seem to find it. I guess I will have to look harder.

I was planning to make a print for a Print for Peace Show in Mexico in October, but I ran out of time. My friends Heather and Kathe both made print for it. They sent them off to Mexico today.

Spring Print

I feel like a total slacker. I finished this print at the end June. I have been so busy, I have not had time to post my new prints or say anything about them...

So, I am going to Hella cheat and put up a bunch of posts in one day. What do you think?

Drawing on Linoleum for my Spring Print for the Four Oceans Press Spring Exchange. It should be Dry by the end of the week and I will scan it. I am pretty happy with it so far.

I have several more exchanges coming up with Four Oceans Press and I will be making a print for a Peace Show in Mexico in October. I also sent off three prints to be included in a show in Italy called "Printmaking Today".

This is a Variation on my Winter Print (see previous post) I printed half with a blue Towel and half with a greenish-yellowish-blueish towel. Each of the green prints has color variation.

This is my Print for the Four Oceans Press Winter Exchange. I am excited about being a part of these Hand-pulled print exchanges. I am working on my Spring print and will post it soon.

I am also participating in the Food and Fruit Alphabet Exchanges.

POST-POSTCARD 11 - The 11th Annual Small Format Art Sale

Opening Reception: Friday, November 30, 2007: 6-9pm

I reworked a few old drawings and put eight of them in this show. I also put in 12 prints of the image above.

This is a really fun show to be involved in and to attend. When you go to the show the walls are lined with chest height shelve lined with up to 200 boxes.

Each artists puts in a collection of small format art. There is an amazing variety of work, all priced under $30 and most under $10.

Print Exchange

I have signed up for two Four Oceans Press Print Exchanges. For the Food Alphabet Exchange I will do a print of Beer and for the Fruit Alphabet Exchange I will do a print of a Banana.

Prints are not due for a while, but they will be added to my site and the Four Oceans Press site as soon as they are finished. If you are a printmaker, there is still time to sign up.

Also, I am hoping to finish up my Butt Drawing soon. I just got a new digital camera - the last one died - so I should be able to start posting my work again soon...

New Business Cards

I will be doing Open Studios this June with a few friends. We have been working hard to get things ready. I am excited to have my first business cards. I also ordered some 4 x 6 post-cards. We will be trying to get as many people as possible to come out to look at our art.

Thisis the finished 'Arm' print.

Take a look at the first Artist's Proof. I am a lot happier with the finished version. I will print an edition of about twenty. I am awaiting better paper. I also decided to keep it one color.

This is the Dave Print. I did some with Dave's name tag, but tried one print without it and I think I like it better. I am going to make some image adjustments before I print the edition - just to clean it up a bit.

I did not like the paper I was using and I am going to try to find something a bit smoother. That will be a job for after work tomorrow...

I am doing all of my printing at Kathe's studio. I will try to get some shots of us printing.

This drawing is for a linoleum-cut called the Plumber. I have to wait four hours for him theday after Christmas and then in the middle of the night my downstairs nieghbors apartment was flooded...

The block is partially cut and should be finished by the end of the week.

I have been on vacation for the past two weeks and I am excited to get back work and back to my drawing printing routine after work.
